WHAT ARE THE STAGES OF RECOVERY AND WHY GIRDLE
There are two stage of recovery after the child birth, the post natal and the post partum. The post natal is the phase immediately, after the child birth when the cleaning takes places, and the post partum is the long period of recovery stage.
As the fetus grows in the womb, it stretches the abdominal muscles by almost 50 %, and due to the reason, we get stretch marks, all over the belly. Even after child birth to a certain period of time, some hormones continue to secrete, since pregnancy, such as estrogen, progesterone, etc., which actually loosens the muscles, disfigures the pelvic structure, and softens the supporting ligaments and joints.
A post partum girdle offers superior stability to a woman’s body after delivery, which is fragile for quite some time, may be a year. On wearing, a postpartum girdle the mother experiences security, comfort with its available conclusion, due to its padded areas and non – restrictive fit. The garments react on the body by drawing in the stretch marks closer by providing 360 degree structural compression on the torso subsequently reducing the strain on the ligaments and the joints, lower back, pelvis and also, the buttocks. Once the 360 degree structural compression is applied, it helps reducing the stress, and enhancing the body’s ability to recover quickly to its pre – pregnancy alignment and shape. The shifted and constrained organs return to its pre – pregnancy locations. In addition to all the above benefits, the compression gives body an inner strength to move about and keep the body active, without any harassment. A post partum girdle is a quick recovery, for a new mother from D- section to the original form. These are medical bands; used under supervision and only, if it is prescribed. It is less of a shape wear, since, it has magnets in it.
